Yarrow,dusty miller and angelica

…yellow mostly!

This post has two Bible verses one from Peter and one from Isaiah then two quotes: one from Buddha and one from Charles Spurgeon, all in that order with photographs of yarrow, dusty miller and angelica.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ‘ You shall be holy, for I am holy.’

For this is said by the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:

‘ I live in the high and holy place, and also with those who are of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.’

Contrite- latin conterer to pound to pieces/ crush. This was a literal meaning that became metaphorical – crushed in spirit, remorseful, regretful, repentant.

God lives in heaven and with us.

However many holy words you read, however many you speak, what good will they do you if you do not act on them?

Do I live as carelessly and wordly as unbelievers while professing to be a follower of Jesus? If so I am exposing Christianity to ridicule and leading people to speak evil of the holy name by which I am called.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
