What is a summary? ‘ A brief, concise restatement of the main facts, a work omittimg details. It captures the essential gist of the original content.’ Dictionary.
This post will have two summaries: one of time in three photographs and two paintings, and one so vast in in its expanse of ages that I will start with it first.
‘Who is this?’ The rulers ask this question as the people welcome Jesus riding on a donkey. They have palm branches in their hands and they place their clothes on the road for the donkey to walk on. They are welcoming Him into their city and their hearts.
And here is this big question for this ancient book the Bible.
Who is Jesus?
Well let us start .
Adam was told: ‘ the seed of the woman (Jesus) would have His heel bruised and the head of the serpent ( the devil) would be crushed.’ Genesis 3:15. Jesus died for our sins on the cross, Satan’s accusations are no longer valid when we choose to ask for forgiveness.
Abraham was told: It is “Melchizedek King of Salem,” King of Peace. Genesis 14 : 18
Jacob will tell you He is Shiloh of the tribe of Judah. Genesis 49:10
Isaiah says ” Immanuel”, “Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 7: 14, 9:6
Jeremiah answers the question: “Who is Jesus?” by making a prophecy that He would be a branch of David and ” the Lord our Righteousness.” Jeremiah 22:6.
Daniel will give you a time prophecy and say ” He is the Messiah.” Daniel 9: 25 – 26, Daniel 7: 13 – 14.
Hosea will tell you, He is ” the Lord God of hosts; the Lord is His memorial.” Hosea 12:5
John the Baptist says: He is ” the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29
Then God proclaims from His throne: ” This is My beloved Son.”
Matthew 3:17
A Samaritan woman at the well tells her village: ” This is the Redeemer of the world”.
And Satan says: ” I know who You are, You are the Holy One of God.” Mark 1:24.
We have travelled a long way through time: Genisis written 1,500 years before Christ to the fulfilment of these prophecies in His cruel death and glorious resurrection.
Who is Jesus for you?
Now for the time of merely a few days. Here are three photographs:

Taken on 23 March. Three dandelions and the unusual daffodil.

Then 26th March,

6th April.
A painting of a summary of time.

And another because I wanted to paint this stage.

This holiday period has given me time to think. I hope to read what I have missed from you.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
