The sea is flat faced.
The sand is washed flat.
The sun shines silver in the face of the flat sea.
The rocks are flat plates.
There are no surfers, the power has gone, they drive by and look or sit and watch their faces warm in the sun.
It is the lower, low tide after a full moon night.
All photographs were taken by me between 11:32 and 12:01 in Sagres.

The silver of the sea.

The flat of the waves and soft reflection of clouds instead of foam.

The smooth level sand.
And here is a warning with a meaning:
‘ When you draw a line in the sand, be careful it is not at low tide.’
‘Don’t make permanent decisions or commitments when circumstances are at their worst.’
Dixie Waters.
She also said: ‘You can leave your marks on things, but the most lasting marks are written in the heart.’

The plates stacked and carved by wind and sea. Flat!
Here is an information board that answered a question I had:
1.5 times the height of the cliff is the answer.
My question is obvious.

Notice the flat sea at the side of the board, it is late afternoon further up the coast.
Now here is some more advice from a man called Solomon who had … I have forgotten how many wives that lead him to distraction or was distruction.
‘ A person will eat good by the fruit of their mouth: but the soul of the law breaker who has a strong sense of rebellion against Divine authority betraying a trusting relationship, will eat violence.’ ( I followed the Greek word for transgression ‘parabates’ and the Hebrew word ‘Pesha’ for transgression.)
Solomon did exactly this.
Then this is what he says next:
‘ The person who keeps their mouths keeps their life BUT the person who opens wide their lips, will have destruction.’
And
‘The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing, but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.’
What happened to this very wise man? God promised to tear his kingdom away from his sons leaving only one tribe for David and so it was.
A flat sea.
‘ Just because the tide is out doesn’t mean there is less water in the ocean.’

Take care,
