Passau’s three rivers and St. Stephen’s Church are what I appreciated.
How do rivers meet?
A spark of opposition
An agreement on the flow to
A common destination of downhill to
The SEA!

Let us look at the morning reflections of Passau in the three rivers.

The smallest of the three rivers is just opposite the motorhome car park.

A shine on the water instead of a true reflection.

Living with three rivers makes for a pleasant relaxed environment but it also has its drawbacks, namely flooding.

Flood water reaches the base of this wall on average every five years.
A different sight from the rivers is St Stephen’s, a true master piece of baroque architecture.
Its church organ is second in size to the one in the Congregational Church of Los Angeles.

The height of the metal crane made the ceilings feel even higher.

I hope you see a little of what I saw.
Jesus is saying: ‘ My house is a place of prayer and you have made it a place for thieves to work in.’ He turns over the tables and shows He is serious about what He says by holding some straps. All this is clear in this painting so high above our heads.
The town was quiet as it was still early morning when I made this short video. A memory of this encounter where the two great rivers meet all the time.

This is where the Ilz meets the Danube.

Take care,
Sandy 🙂
We were just there three weeks ago! I fell in love with the town, and wished we’d had more time there–we were on a Viking cruise. I took so many pictures from the point where the Danube and Inn meet, also of the family of swans that appeared to be nesting there. I’d love go back when the restoration of the main organ in the cathedral is complete, but I understand that won’t be finished for at least another year.
So glad you loved it. When our sons were teenagers we did a cycle ride from Passau to Vienna. We loved that too.
Stunning! Stunning! What beauty your eyes behold 👏👏
God is good and you are right there is so much beauty.
I love your thoughts on rivers
Thank you. Our rivers are so important is an understatement.
