Here is a fascinating verse. It has a context but still has meaning alone: ‘ Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for it; that He might sanctify it and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.’ Ephesians 5:25,26 Sandy’s understanding:The Word, the Bible, washes like water when we read and pray with it. Taste and know, try it for yourself. Angels, who see the face of God, and His kind Holy Spirit are there for you.
When the sun slowly, very slowly leaves the buildings and even more slowly the streets where heat has collected in pockets,
people begin to loosen the folds of their clothes, and the buildings' shutters open and let any cool air in.
A few hours later still, piazza and pasta
smell so fresh
coming from hotter places, while the ice melts in drinks.
Look at the photographs I took and look for the sun and shadows.

The sun is gliding out.
Here we are near the Alps but close to where Po vegetables grow. The salad was excellent when the sun went down.

I was looking at some of my photographs from the GAM and here is a painting of the moon rising. It shows so much shine I thought to share it with you.

Fausto Melotti also liked to show the moon in his art work. I struggled with the matching of the names but here is one.

Then I leave the rest to you.

Here are some thoughts about leaving:
‘ We stand our best chance of leaving a legacy to those who want to learn, our children, by standing firm. In matters of style, hey, swing with the stream. But in matters of principle, you need to stand like a rock.’ Kevin Costner
‘ There is a trick to the Graceful Exit. It begins with the vision to recognise when a job, a life stage, or a relationship is over and to let it go. It means leaving what’s over without denying its value.’ Ellen Goodman
‘ Art is the only way to run away without leaving home. ‘ Twyla Thorp

Here again the beauty of the light so shiny made me look closely.
I thought it was too hot to write today but the subject of the sun setting drew me away from its heat.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
