Looking in three different directions mountains with different characters.

It is one of the largest in Western Europe and gets its water from the Durance and the Ubaya rivers with a shoreline of 90 km.

Here are a few thoughts about Biblical mountains:
Mount Ararat Genesis 8:4
‘And Noah’s ark rested in the 7th month on the 17 th day of the month, upon the mountain of Ararat.’
Mount Moriah Genesis 22: 2
God speaking to Abraham: ‘ Take your son and go to the land of Moriah and sacrifice him.’
He went and climbed the mountain with his son. Got ready to do as he was told and…
An angel said: ‘ Don’t kill your son, God knows now you love me.’
Abraham sees a ram and sacrifices it instead. (Sandy’s wording)
2 Chronicles 3: 1 ‘Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to David His Father.’
Mount Carmel IKings 18
Ahab speaking to Elijah: ‘ Are you the one who has caused trouble?’
Elijah: ‘ No, but you and your father’s house have abandoned the commandments of the LORD and followed Baalim.’( 450 prophets of Baalim and 400 prophets of the groves who ate Jezebel’s food.)
These prophets were invited to Mount Carmel to invite their gods to send fire on their sacrifice. Elijah built an altar and smothered it in water and at the end of the day, God sent fire to burn up the sacrifice showing God to be the true God. Rain then fell and the drought was broken. The story is fascinating all taking place on Mount Carmel.
Mount of Olives
The place where Jesus prayed Luke22: 39
The place where He left Earth for Heaven Acts 1:12
The Mount where He talked about end-time events. Mathew 24 : 3
I then watched Jesus, Jerusalem and the Final Signs by Mark Finley. Matthew 24 is one of those chapters that deserve attention and Mark Finley speaks respectfully to all of us.
It has been a warm Sabbath by an interesting lake. Look at this 12th-century church. It used to be on top of a hill but when the dam was built it became its island

Thank you for looking at this post.
