The lake, river, field in Southeastern France.

Jesus was having time at a feast given by Matthew a taxcollector who worked  for the Romans.

The scribes and Pharisees saw this and asked Jesus’ friends: ‘ How is it that He eats and drinks with publicans and sinners?’

When Jesus heard the question this was his answer:

‘ Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do: I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. ‘ Mark 2: 16-17 ( Sandy’s way of reading it.)

The Lake, River and Field.
Yellow seeping through all these photographs
June 14 is sun-drenched.
How different are blues and greens with yellow?
Lac De Serrl

A provider to 1 500km²
of land
It gathers from several rivers one of them
The Durance
The Durance, a major river in Southeastern France is
323.2 km long.
Its drainage basin is 14, 472km²
A field of yellow wheat
by the Durance River,
flanked by tall poplars
and surrounded by mountains.
The wheat receives from the river
The red and blue do too
How pleased we are that wheat grows
How pleased we are with the electricity
And dams?
Are we still pleased?
It was fun to paint with so much brightness from yellow and grey for shadow.

A yellow-infused day.

A map of the lake.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂

  1. Now that I have returned to a part-time vocation, my life is busier–but I always save your posts until I have time to read them each week. You provide a mini-vacation and a respite for my soul. Thank you! And I love each one of your watercolors, too!
