Thoughts by Lake Annecy

Photos all by Sandy P.
Lake Annacy with natural vegetation at its edge.
There they are vast mountains
Massive,mega,whopping monsters
And here it is the wild edgings of a lake
Vegetation
In its parts miniscule, teeny-weeny,
A diminutive of the vast
How?
A small of the big
Or
Big of the small.
Two complex worlds
Elaborate, tortuous.
Parts impenetrable
The vast and the teeny- weeny
And
Here we are looking on,
some know they know,
we all know a little
but
Have we ever as one of a whole known the whole?
Never!
' For now we know in part, but then we will know fully even as we have been fully known.', Corinthians 13:12

When is 'then'?
Who knows us fully?
For me:
GOD'S then is not for me to know.
My faith says God knows me fully.

Look at this painting by Louis Argusté Lapito ( 1803 - 1874). The scene is of Lake Annacy and people make the scene more vast. Then look at the detail of the people close up.
Louis Argusté Lapito.
Lac d’ Annacy.
Notice the people on the shoreline.
Look more carefully at these miniature people carefully painted.

‘ Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry, the philosophy which does not laugh and the greatness which does not bow before  children.’ Khalil Gibran

‘ Self – respect is the fruit of discipline, the sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself.’ Abraham Joshua Heschel.

A beautiful day at a beautiful lake.

Take care,
Sandy 🙂
