Tulips in a vase and the garden.

Jesus speaking: ‘ Why are you thinking these things? Is it easier to say to the sick, your sins are forgiven or to say to a disabled person walk? I want you to know that I, Jesus, have power to forgive sins.

Jesus turns to the man who can’t walk and says: ‘I tell you, get up and walk!’

Sandy’s wording read it for yourself. Mark 2:  1: 12.

Beauty.
God is love.

The garden.

Looking first at three tulips in a little detail, we will then look at parts of the garden: where there is a muddle, newness, and abundance, then lastly renewed health. I will put quotes here and there.

Today is really sunny. I brought in three tulips from a few left, knowing that inside would be cooler, still one petal dropped as I placed them in water. Their colours speak of fading pinks into yellow, their shapes exclusive, and their postures will change through today as stems lean.

‘A writer needs three things, experience, observation, and imagination, any one of which can supply the lack of the others.’

William Faulkner

Daffidol leaves, forget-me-nots, viola, and bluebells.
It’s a bit of a muddle in blue.

‘ Love is bumping along together with the people in your life and making mistakes and trying to make them right by virtue of the fact that these are people you actually love, you care about them enough to muddle through it with them.’

Becky Albertalli

The sun  reached the first part of the back garden as I took this photograph.
The new orange geum brings colour in place of   the yellow tulips and blue grape hyacinths now in seed.
An abundance of mint and green Alkenet.
Two watering cans, one fallen over and a mirror against a wall.
A garden in the evening.
Yesterday evening.

I spent a few hours taking out sticky weed and a few others to make space for poppies.  I remember Dad Brian asking me to buy red poppies for his garden when they were out of season, so I bought these with a memory of him. The wars were part of his life.

The helibore with new leaves.
Renewed health.
I am so pleased.

I was worried about this plant, but nature looked after itself.

I’m sure I will spend most of today in the garden. Sunny days are so welcome.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
