Yesterday near Pangbourne

On our Sabbath walk.

We have had our spring hour change, and it is great to have longer sunny days. Our walk was through the town of Pangbourne and then into the fields. Here are three photographs of how I saw it and below each photograph a promise.

Tracks along one side of the Thames.

‘Commit your way to the Lord, trust Him, and He will make it happen.’ Psalm 37:5 this whole Psalm is reassuring to read.

Press on this photograph.
A heavy swan has taken itself up from the water.
The sound of its wings as it rose and the strong pull of its webbed feet as it landed brought the response:
‘ Do that again!’

‘ With God, nothing is impossible.’

Luke 1: 37 from the Bible in the New Testament

Ah, Lord GOD! Look, you have made the heaven and the earth by Your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for You.’

Jeremiah 32:19 from the Bible in the Old Testament.

A stream with two mallards.
It is a shirt- sleeve day, and the leaves are coming out fast.

‘ The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’

Phil 4:7 ( verse 6′ be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer, asking with thanking, let God know your requests)

Take care,

Sandy 🙂

Ps

A long Ps

A humorous part of the walk was when a large number of young farm stock formed a one by one line and followed us across a field. This is when they first saw us.

And here is a joke: ‘ I just had a really busy day converting oxygen into carbon dioxide. ‘

Then, three photographs from the garden.

Spot the difference.

I took this photograph to see how the first tulip to bloom had changed. This was in the morning at 7.09.
I then noticed how a leaf had opened above one of the tulips closest to the tulip that first opened.
It is a little flattened.
This was at 13: 22.
The sun is shining right through the leaves.
Evening light at 18:18.
The leaves of the Cardoon have lifted.

One could say my photographs travel with ‘light’ with a focus on one small patch of the garden on a long day.

‘Does the road wind uphill? Yes, to the very end. Will the day’s journey take the whole long day? From morning to night, my friend.’

Grantland Rice.
