It was given in 1978.
My classmate says she chose and unrolled a verse for me.
This is the full verse with context.
It is the last verse in Matthew. I will write 19 and 20 because it is interesting:
Jesus speaking : ” Go and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you: and I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Amen.
What a happy memory from long ago and a reminder of a good friend from Holland, if I remember correctly.
Late this afternoon, I received some film from my sister, which I had never seen. They are an amazing gift!
Today, I am 69 years old. These films are probably from when I was about 9 months old. I have no memory of my parents looking like they do in the film, nor my grandfather and Aunty Louise, who worked the farm.
I place them here with my memories where I wrote about my family. These are like a treasure to me once hidden, now reminders of people I loved so much.
Strange thing is we visited Wisley today, and it was mostly leaves I photographed.
The cherry trees no longer white with touches of pink.
For colour tulips and snakes head Fritillary.
Grand comes in Gunner leaves coming through the mud and Giant Fennal rising high.
Then, in the orchards, the apples seem to be in leaf, and the pears smothered in white blossom with the beehive on stilts well occupied.
Wisley is new leaf beautiful today.

Living hooped edging in the foreground.
Press on the photograph to see the small shoots forming on the hoops.
It was lovely to see leaves!
Here are some thoughts about birthdays.
First from Dr. Seus:
‘Today you are you!
That is truer than true!
There is no one alive who
is you-er than you!’
Then Pablo Picasso and Madeleune L’Engle:
‘It takes a long time to become young.’

‘The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all the other years.’
Thank you to those who made this day so special and much appreciation for those in the past who now sleep and who 69 years ago recorded a time I have no memory of.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
I hope you had a wonderful birthday, Sandy, and wish for you a happy, adventurous year ahead!
Thank you so much. Yes, we plan to travel again in a while and leave these lovely gardens. We hope you ‘come with us’ on our next adventure. We don’t plan too far in advance.
So glad you had a lovely day Sandy!
Thank you, and I’m so glad you are back safely, too.
