Where the cliffs greet the sea

God speaking

And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you , that you may know that I am the LORD your God.

Ezekiel 20:20

Greet

‘ to welcome someone with particular words’

Or

‘ a particular action’

Or

‘ react to something in the stated way.’

Let’s look at these cliffs as they greet the sea or the sea greets the cliffs. Press on the photographs to:

Look at colour,

shadows,

and

lines of water levels.

Ask why?

(I give no answers. All answers are your own.)

A tree peering down at the sea in a cave.

How does this make you feel?

Let’s travel past/passed.

‘ I’ve got a friendly smile, a greeting smile, and a you – know – exactly- what- I – am – thinking smile. ‘

Jason Mitchel

‘Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.’

Oprah Winfrey

Press on ‘So long, Farewell from the Sound of Music.’ If cliffs and sea in a farewell song sang, what would their words be?

‘ In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.’

Ps

It is lying in a dish cloth, my painting. By looking, I saw more, time stopped a while, and I saw more accurately how precious our Earth is.

I saw how the pink was eaten out and how shadows were grooves
and cracks
and how heavy the sides were
and how beautiful
but
strong the sea was .
