A verse with Jesus speaking: ‘ when He the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into truth: for He will not speak of Himself; but whatsoever he hears he will speak… he will take of mine and show you.’ John 16: 13,15 ( the verses not here are interesting. It is said that the nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Men can not explain it because God hasn’t revealed it.)
A nibble of the green line of Nantes.
Nantes, a city on the Loire River, is in the upper Brittany region of Western France, 50 km from the Atlantic coast, and it has a time-saving green line! Where? On the streets and pavements, following it is an easy route to see the main and most interesting parts of this city.
We are going to walk a part of the 22km of the green line enough to see “enough.” Always save some for another day.
Here is a list with a few personal comments, facts, and photographs:

When Roy worked for a few days in Paris, he made sure me and our 7 – and 3-year-old boys could go too. I am known for getting lost, so to keep us safe, he booked us on a day’s tour of Paris. A boat ride, etc, and lunch but not noticed by us was lunch. Galleries lafayette with a fashion show. Most entertaining!!! All this came to mind in Nantes as the green line passed the red banners announcing this memorable shop.

Notice the line as we pass through the streets:

All over the garden, there is evidence of care for detail.
I soon find a tree I haven’t seen before…

It’s vulnerable and rare, so I video it .

A labour of love keeping them clear of grass and neatly set the right distance apart.

You really need to read about the creator before you dismiss the created!

‘This colossal figure drips with water, which gradually results in a natural patina onto which moss and ferns will grow…’ ( for those short of time here is an important bit..)
Then, this endearing plant sculpture:

Don’t wake me up!
Wouldn’t you like to sit and slide on it!

It is hard to leave this place, but then there is another tree we see while following the green line.

Do not climb the tree or the sculptured hand, which may either be seen as supporting or ready to snap the strangely growing pine.

Bells are next. Five bells on a low loader with a crane. We looked for the tower but then saw none and asked. This was the answer:
” They are going down into the moat on platforms. When they ring, the water will carry the sound.”
We went back in the evening to see them all in place on the water.

The bells and the moat where they have been carefully placed.
A little about the Chateau des Ducs de Bretagine. It was made famous by Anne de Bretagne, the Duchess who successively married Kings Henry VIII and Louis XII, thereby ensuring Brittany’s attachment to France.
Back in the streets and following the green line, one can hear the chimes of the church clock. Two loud one soft, two loud one soft. There are two more things I want you to see.
Kinda Maruyama has created a sea monster part of it is for children to play in and make their own stories while the body then winds its way through the trees.

She loves town visits. We are at the entrance of Passage of Culture to see…

The last of my shares on the green line:

Thank you for letting me share a little of the green line. There is so much more in Nantes for another time.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂

Thank you for sharing! Those trees are unbelievable!!!
My pleasure. It was a pleasant day with much more for another time.
Great photos, Sandy. Looks like a great trip.
Thank you. 😊 So far, so good.
So interesting! Never heard of the green line before but it looks fascinating.
