Paul speaking: ‘ Don’t be proud when trying to help someone who has been overtaken in a fault. Instead, carry/bear each others burdens. For if a person thinks themselves to be something , when they are nothing, they deceive themselves. But let every person prove their own work, and then have rejoicing in themselves alone and not another.’ …Galations 6: 1:4
And then verse 7
‘Be not deceived ; God is not mocked: for whatever a person sows, that will they reap.’
The fruit bearing plants in the garden now have colourful leaves, while the apple tree is still green. No fruit yet. It was given a harsh prune two seasons ago, but just maybe we will see blossoms in the spring of 2025. Here is a sample of the colour, and then I will let this post travel with the word bear , as in carry.

Victoria plum
gooseberry and cherry.
A stalk of apple over the jug handle, its leaves still green.
The first quote left me thinking for a while as there are questions to answer:
“Did I offer peace today?
Did I bring a smile to someone’s face?
Did I say words of healing?
Did I let go of my anger and resentment?
Did I forgive?
Did I love?
These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits here in this world and the life to come.’
Henri Nouwen 1932- 1996 Catholic priest and well-known author.

Following is what John F Kennedy, who was America’s 35th president, said:

‘ Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price,
bear any burden,
meet any hardship,
oppose any foe,
to
assure the survival and the success of liberty.’
Well, where is this road travelling to?
Martin Luther King 1929 – 1963 assassinated as Kennedy was. This quote is with bear.
‘ I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.’
I will end with this:
‘ He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.’ Friedrich Nietzsche. Press on his name to understand a little of this person’s life.
