The last verse from Psalms 73 says:
” It is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD that I may tell you of all He has done.” ( Sandy’s understanding. )
Come into the garden. Next to the pond and near the low wall is a Mexican Orange shrub and close beside it in a container is an Acer that has green seven finger palm shaped leaves, but now they are autumnal. The two together made me stop.
Why should these bowl shaped blossoms be here in October? I found out that sometimes, if you trim the plant in May after blossoming, you get flowers in October.
We trimmed it just before we left for Scandinavia. Tidying up the garden for a period of low maintenance so now we are happy to have the flowers.

May to October.
Spring drawn into Autumn.
A long time,
and a lot done.
Strange this I wanted to follow the word draw, meaning to ‘ pull in’ , ‘appeal to’ as in autumn appealing to spring 2024
but I got this:
‘ Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.’
John W. Gardener
I guess whatever has been in these months stays that way. It seems true for the garden.

and from another educator:
‘To confer the gift of drawing, we must create an eye that sees, a hand that obeys, a soul that feels; and in this task, the whole life must cooperate. In this sense, life itself is the only preparation for drawing. Once we have lived the inner spark of vision does the rest.’
Maria Montessori
I don’t know that it is the only preparation …I wouldn’t mind more..🤣🤣🤣
I didn’t draw. I like the paint brush, preferably with a few colours on it at the same time.
The evenings are drawing in and because of the rain it was easy to enjoy looking at this brown vase of spring and autumn.

‘Drawing is the honesty of the art. There is no possibility of cheating. It is either good or bad.’
Salvador Dali
Don’t worry about the mismatch of thought painting with drawing. There is a joy to travel the road that seems not so clear cut.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
Oh my goodness, I read this one twice. Your thoughts and your painting are beautiful gifts for my soul today. Thank you for sharing! You truly have a gift with inspirational words and art.
Thank you. I am so happy they were gifts for your soul. Word Press provides a wonderful opportunity for us all to share… ‘big and small’. Have a blessed day. Sandy 🙂
