The lush garden

Don’t be forced to think like others who don’t value what you do but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:2

The lush garden

Lush, struggling, overgrown, beautiful.
Rain wet,heaven watered,green garden.

Green grass in the beds seeding yellow stalks, graceful, choking.
How do you pull out what is graceful?

A rule.
Pull out anything stopping anything else from growing the way it needs to.
It needs its own shape.
It needs its own space.
It needs its own light.

Some plants need to be protected from themselves.
They need to be shaped
They need to be limited
for their own strength in where they are growing.

This morning early,
I worked
WELL
The day lily opening was my
CLOCK
The centenal gladioli my unheard white
BELL
My energy to UNLOCK.

Sad and glad

My seven year old oak trees had green leaves this summer, but now they are brown like we have autumn in July. Sad.

The apple tree is green and a pleasant sight. Glad.

The apple tree against
the tortured willow.
Both green against a soft blue morning sky.

We need to give each other the space to grow ,to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give others space so that we may both give and receive  such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusiveness.

Four piles like this!

I will be in the garden a lot today.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
