Religion:
Here are three quotes about the Holy Spirit:
The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. People can not explain it because the Lord has not revealed it to them.
E G White
The Spirit helps our weaknesses, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8: 26
Having brought conviction of sin and presented before the mind the standard of righteousness, the Holy Spirit withdraws the affections from the things of this earth and fills the soul with a desire for holiness.

Travel
This is the first of two posts on Denmark. (I try to keep our travels in logical order because Roy has a printed confirmation of our trip made when we get back. Something on paper is great!)
After a 20 – minute ferry crossing of the Øresund strait from Sweden to Denmark, we were in Helsingør. We will look at the castle and then the quaint streets with some things that caught my eye.
Here, the 15th Century Kronborg Castle, of Shakespears’ “Hamlet” fame dominates the shore line. Below is a clear view of the main happenings as well as a view of the castle itself.

Hamlet the theme.
The king and Queen had a very long and happy marriage . She was particularly careful with money and made sure no food was wasted and that everyone enjoyed themselves at her banquets.
The rooms were grand and gave a good sense of how they lived but were not completely furnished in the lavish style of the time.

What made you look into the scene?
Size and shape of marks, objects.
What was the story? What was important?
I think it’s an original.
I didn’t buy it either.
What did draw my attention was the 1950’s print of a young woman with a child. She may be breastfeeding. I really liked it because it had place: the home, depth using doors, lighting: shadow and dark with different strokes in different directions. The vase of flowers in its natural hectic manner draws your eye in. There is movement as one goes through the scene. The figures of the people are strong but vulnerable, probably due to the clean lines and pale colours. (It almost looks like there are two paintings on top of each other.)
I didn’t buy it. It was £15. Looking at it now, I wish I had.

A pleasant town
Cottage flowers in and out
A Danish town.
A lune is a poetic form that has three lines with 3/5/3 words in them.
Thank you to one of my fellow bloggers for teaching me this.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
