Sabbath in Fredrikstad and the Glomma River

Jesus said: ” I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

Luke 10:18

How art thou fallen  from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!

Isaiah 14 : 12

Jesus talks to Satan but uses the strength of Scripture:

Satan: ” If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.”

Jesus: ” It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

Matthew 4 : 3,4

The bridge lifts to let a sailing boat go through.
The movement to vertical is smooth…
…with the mast of the sail lined up with the highest point of the lifted bridge.
The Glomma
The Glomma Norways longest
386 miles with a basin 13 percent of the land.
A suspension bridge over the Glomma. (a bridge in which the weight of the deck is supported by vertical cables that run between towers and are anchored in abutments.)

Near this bridge was our church. A warm welcome with an open Bible and candles. It was time to spend with friends and worship God.

Our sun set after we had gone to sleep. This morning is already bright and hot.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂

  1. Norway sounds wonderful. Quite different from anything we’re familiar with. That church is so beautiful.

    1. It has been unexpectedly warm, which has added to the magic of the calm sea inlets and new spring green on the trees. We were chatting to some Norwegians, and they last had a smattering of snow in April when it was very cold. They are happy too.
