Moss Norway  Galleri 15

At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.

Luke 4: 40

Moss is known for its sculptures, but it was along a road lined with trees leading to a country art gallery that we drove.

Let us start with a short video

The tree lined way…
Gallerie F15
With shady paths leading to sandy coves where youngsters were fishing and swimming.

The Gallery is hosting artists from Finland, Norway, and Sweden. I was particularly drawn to an instalation of hands. They are all sizes, shapes, and in different positions made from silk in pastal colours. The name of the artist is Kristina Skantze. Press on her name to see her work. This made me think of the many expressions we use with hand:

We soon needed a hand.

Bugzy had an accident.

We will be off the roads for a while, I guess, getting her fixed.
A safe pair of hands
Will fix it
At first hand, we know how it feels to hear the scrapes and crunch
No one has the upper hand
Our hands are tied until after the Norwegians go back to work.
It is a public holiday here on Monday.
We can't take matters into our own hands.
I hand it to Roy for staying calm and
hands down to all of us for exchanging details and  with willingness to
stay in touch!

Eight uses of hand. Leaving out dab hand, wash your hands of, heavy hand, and change hands none of which applies to this our accident today.

Here is a picture of my hand and a glass of water no copy rights needed.
Glass and shadow.

A few sayings with hand:

The hand expresses what the heart already knows.

Samuel Mockbee

Hands have their own language.

Simon Van Booy

A person who works with their hands and their mind and their heart is an artist.

Louis Nizer and Framcis of Assis

Hands so useful and interesting to look at so here is one more quote:

“It is wonderful how God works by our hands, and yet His hands do it all.” Charles Spurgeon.

Take care we will see what tomorrow holds.
