A spring visit to Greys Court

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise…

Proverbs 13 : 20

This is one of the number of visits we have made  to this garden reflecting on different  seasons. One in summer: A brief look at Greys Court Gardens and Vegetables followed by the garden in winter : Greys Court, the walled garden in January. I am reminded that:

You can visit the same place over and over again and see it differently.

Our visit on a rainy day towards the end of April is  in spring 2024.

Apple trees trained to grow in an inviting passage of arches.
More fruit trees covered in blossom.
These blue flowers are so much like Camassia leichtlini growing in our garden.
It was a privilege to see them growing here and there in the fruit orchard.

Here are a few quotes on revisits which are travelling in an interesting direction:

If you are the only one that can see the genius in you. It’s best you revisit the drawing board.

Unknown to me.

Every relationship is a part of our learning experience – including those that we’d rather not visit.

Unknown.
Below a pink blue bell.
An unusual sight.

Press on Spanish or native bluebells The wildlife Trust. An interesting read about the differences between the English and Spanish bluebells and the  emergence of white and pink bluebells.

Take care.

Sandy 🙂

  1. Enjoyed the garden with you. Oh I do so love spring!
We have the same problem with Formosa lilies as you have with bluebells there in the UK. Not so much hybridising but taking over from the local, similar lilies. They’re so beautiful it’s hard to think of them as undesirable aliens!
