Heavy double tulips.

If something is heavy with something else, it has a lot of it or is full of it.
These three were so heavy with petals that they broke.

I have been fascinated and pleased with these gifted flowers growing so well from their healthy bulbs.

They say the long-lasting double tulip blossom has so many petals that they resemble peonies and sometimes require staking. Tulips are technically perennial, but due to breeding for the most beautiful blooms, they are annuals.

One has no conscience, and you have the privilege of choosing a new colour or variety for the next spring. These are only here now 2024. Interesting!

I travelled a little with the word heavy.

It is interesting to notice that the double tulips have the shorter stems. The singles sway above them.
