The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
Psalm 103: 8
Today 20 April 2024 we lead a walk we took 25 February 2024. Paths between Fingest and Turville. Press on it if you would like to see it then.
Our walk started at the unique Norman church of St Bartholomew Fingst. What is most striking is the 12 th century tower with a double gable saddleback roof. It is one of only two here in England.

Walking the paths beyond the church the difference was remarkable. The sheep and their lamb’s are now in the grass fields and the trees are less bare. We also noticed a large area of new trees in their cages well supported while others had lost their grip on the chalk land slopes a while back.

A beautiful afternoon with friends.
Here are a few sheep puns:
What is a sheep’s ultimate goal?
To wool the world.
Why was the lamb hiding from everyone?
It was feeling sheepish.
What did the sheep parent say to the lamb?
It’s pasture bedtime.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
🙂 Great puns, and such beautiful photos of the landscape and nature in its glory.
Thank you kindly.🙂
How lovely to walk with friends there on Ssbbath afternoons. I wish we did that …
Love the sheep puns 😃
Yes, I think that, too. Done enough alone to appreciate it! The puns are good . I wish they said who said them. I think they are as good as quotes. Thanks for reading.
