The inflorescence is a spike-like cluster on a leafless stem held above the leaves.
During the spring, it needs consistent water, but once it has flowered and seed pods have formed, it is not harmed by drought conditions.
This spring, our garden has had ‘consistent water ‘. This new plant in a pot has done well. I will plant it out when it is more established.
In contrast to the red, yellow and orange tulips, the camas has a blue simplicity.
I took this word simplicity and let it travel.

The gospel’s simplicity depends on a faith that God exists, is holy and loving, and wants a relationship with us.

A “simple ” flower.
The camas have bloomed well with the rain, and other plants are doing well, too. Yesterday morning, I captured some of those rain drops on new rose leaves, a young acer tree, and a clematis stem twisting around the fence. While I am getting tired of the rain, I thought these were memorable captures. These plants are growing and changing quickly they will not be like this next week.

In the second quote, the author is writing from a broken heart. His wife has just died, and the poem reveals this ache as well as that of others press on The rainy day to listen to it.
