Walking the edges of Lake Heraion

Here is some more from Paul. He wrote the book of Thessalonians as well as Corinthians. Paul says:

Do not stop the Spirit. Prove all things; hold tightly what is good don’t look like you are doing wrong! May God sanctify you completely and I Paul pray that your spirit, soul and body will be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13 …the glorious appearing of the Great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.) Faithful is God who called you and He will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5: 19-24 (Sandy’s understanding.)

Lake/ Lagoon Heraion is in the Vovliagmeni region a few kilometers from the center of Loutraki.

This is more a lagoon than a lake as twice a day water comes in from the sea. Let us take a walk as far as we can go along its edge, parts of which are lined with pine trees…

The edge of the tar is softened by the greens of different grasses.
Rabbit tails in the foreground like I saw in the Spanish garden with my post of the same name.
These soft seeded plants are everywhere.
A prominent flat rock pushes its way into the sea.
The water is still very cold and the breeze is fresh.
Then further on amongst the yellow of the daisies were purple wild statice.
A flower I took two years to grow when we first moved into our cottage.
I remember carefully putting the seeds into 2 black buckets in the old green house left behind by Mrs Bay.
The seeds took so long to germinate that I almost gave up on them.
I was however, watering a patch of parsley that lasted all the time we lived there so I would put a little water into the two buckets in hope.
It was the next spring I saw strong plants ready to put into the garden.
They thrived!
Bright pink, purple, yellow and white crepe – paper like funnel- shaped flowers with long stalks.
I gave bunches away, hung up alot to dry and filled a large basket full for our tenth wedding anniversary.
Now I was so pleased to see the purple statice growing wild.
A wonderful sight.
We continued walking until the sea entered the lake.
Here on the far side is what looks like Aloevera growing.
We didn’t swim across.
I guess we only walked 4 miles.
With Greek dogs barking as we went past an important home.
The side with the lake on.

We are tender and fierce. We are soft and strong. We are fragile and courageous. Sometimes all in the same day.

Unknown author but sounds like how I can be.

I hope all is well .

Sandy 😊
