June along the Rhein

This post has randomly selected photographs of the Rhein River as we have experienced it this June 2026. The sky has been a strong provider of evidence that the weather has been changeable. Rain, cold and warmth with sun.

Waters calm with moody clouds with a promise of blue skies coming.

A really warm day. Looking from green to golden change in the grasses to the river which has taken on the blue of the sky.

An evening’s cool and calm after a warm day.

Rain coming.

Riverbank cycling.

The shoreline.

And the view from a lovely castle.

And some trees with a thought from Job 14: 7 -9

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch will not die. Though the root becomes old in the earth, and the stock dies in the ground. Yet the scent of water brings buds and branches as it is a plant.

Job then talks about himself in Job 14: 13,14

‘Oh that You would hide me in the grave, that You would keep me secret until the anger is past, and then remember me at a set time.’

Then Job asks this question.

‘If a person dies, shall they live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. You will call, and I will answer you: You will have a desire for the work of Your hands.’

Trees with water in a channel.

Hillside trees.

Purposefully planted and carefully shaped trees with a fun sculpture.

And to end three quotes from three different people: Albert Einstein, Johan Wolfgang von Goethe and Bob Marley.

He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.

The hardest thing to see is what is in front of your eyes.

Open your eyes, look within. Are you satisfied with the life you are living?

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
