Here are two conversations only in one does Solomon speak.
God: ‘Ask what I shall give you.’
Solomon: ‘Give your servant an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may know the difference between good and evil: for who is able to judge this great people.’
God: ‘Because you have asked for this and not long life, nor riches for yourself, nor that I kill your enemies, but asked for yourself an understanding to discern judgment I will give you wisdom and an understanding heart, so that there will be none like you.’
Then the years went by.
Some theologians call Solomon ‘wise old fool.’ Why? Here is God angry with Solomon.
God: ‘ Forasmuch as your wives have turned your heart to other gods ( he had built different temples for them to suit each of their own gods) and you have not kept that which the LORD commanded I will tear the kingdom from you.’ And God did as he said by taking it from Solomon’s son.
A process that has happened again and again with many…
Play it again, Sing it again, Read it again, Write it again, Rehearse it again, Run it again, Try it again. Because again is practice, and practice is improvement, and improvement only leads to perfection.
Richelle E.Goodrich
Does it really? It depends what you practice…
Love must be learned and learned again, There is no end.

The Bluebells are here again.
Two really warm days and now it has been cool a perfect way to keep the flowers longer and more beautiful than ever. They are everything they are supposed to be at the right time.
Come see where I have photographed for the past few years.

The fallen tree I tried to paint is still there. A different view of it this time.

A thick hazy blue against last year’s fallen brown.

New green leaves, that lime – green look of spring.

The winding path…

…and the view to a field and a tree beyond.
The bluebells (again) of 2026.
Here is a quote from the book I am reading: ‘ History is moving towards a goal under God. C. S. Lewis suggested that history shows that Christian contribution to the world now was directly proportional to their interest in the next.’
The book is John C. Lennox, God, AI and The End of History understanding the book of Revelation in an age of intelligent machines. I will take my time and try to understand what it says with my open Bible beside it. I want to learn.
And here is something more I have found out. It is about those Whitby beach stones with fine circles and holes. Here is a picture of a group I brought home.

This is what they are hagstones/witch stones made by piddocks using their sharp- ridged shells to rasp away at the rock, moving slowly to create a smooth, cylinderical hole that is often a perfect fit for their body. It is this soft mudstone and shale along the North Yorkshire coast that provides ideal conditions for these creatures to bore into. I am so pleased I know.
What next can I do with these ‘well made’ stones ?
A sculpture: ‘ It is a three- dimensional art form created by shaping, carving, casting, or constructing materials like stone, metal, clay or wood. It exists in physical space, allowing it to be viewed from multiple angles or in relief. Techniques among others include assembling materials.’
Ah, thank you dictionary. Interesting.
‘ Imagination is the human faculty that assimilates sensory data into images, upon which the intellect can then act, it is the basis of all reasoned thought.’
Holly Ordway
Well this post has truly travelled.
Have a good time of day whenever you read this.
