This post will showcase 6 primula bought at Wisley at £5 for three. I will include their names as well. Then under each I have placed a verse from the Bible that answers the question:
What are some of the promises of God that are yes, in Christ Jesus?

Star Fever Pink
A promise of salvation and eternal life.
‘ For God so loved our Earth, that He gave His Son, the only one He has, that you or me or anyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.’
John 3:16 (Sandy’s summary.)

Sirococco Blue
A promise of His presence and security.
‘ Let your conversation not be covetous, be content with what you have: for He has said, I will never leave you, nor forget about you.’ Paul says this in Hebrews 13:5
Jesus says: ‘ My Father who gave you to me is greater than all; and no person will grab them out of My Father’s hand.’ John 10: 29. (Verses 25-29 are important context.)

Flamenco Deep Purple White Edge
Promise of providing care.
Paul is saying thank you for the gifts he has received from the people in Philipi and this is how He gives back. ‘ My God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory.’
Jesus has another way of saying this: ‘ Seek the kingdom of God and God’s righteousness; and all theses things ( food, home, clothes) will become part of your life.’ Matthew 7:33

Zebra
A promise of stength and transformation
Paul writing to the Philippians and us today: ‘ Be confident that God who has started a good work in you will carry on doing it until the day of Jesus Christ.’ Philippians 1:6
This is God speaking: ‘ Fear not; for I am with you, do not be disappointed/unhappy; for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will hold you with the right hand of my righteousness.’ Isaiah 41:10

Rosebud Violet
A promise of purpose and hope.
These words show how the Holy Spirit helps us: ‘ We really don’t know what we should pray for but the Spirit makes intercession for us and He who searches and knows our hearts and what is in the mind of the Holy Spirit interceeds for us according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose.’ Romans 8: 26-28 ( Sandy’s understanding. Read it for yourself.)
Nature sometimes groans and we do too but ‘for as many are led by the Spirit of God are children of God and if we are children then joint heirs with Christ and if we suffer with Him, this will have no comparison to the glory we will have with and in Him.’ ( Sandy’s summary of Romans 8:14-18)

Six Primula standing in a row. The clutter buries their individuality and colour. I will find a better place.
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
Each one is a beautiful color, my fave is the Zebra. I know you’ll find a lovely spot for them to reside and show their burst of colors! 😊
Thank you for a beautiful post and lovely scriptures 💟💐
I bought two of the zebra as it is what you said. I think for all the care that goes into growing they are almost a gift. I must find the spot!
Glad you liked it. God bless and thank you for your kind comment.
