Winter stalks,Cardoon and garlic…

This morning before 7:30 the sky was grey and fine droplets of water moved in the air. I looked up at the tops of the trees in the garden and thought of how much was happening for these living stalks. I then looked down at what was already grey and green.

This post is going to travel with a prayer that Jesus prayed for the future, for His children who were not yet born. Between the verses I will place these morning photographs that I have just taken. May you feel blessed as you read.

Jesus prays: ‘ Holy Father, keep through your own name, the disciples you have given me, help them to be one, like we are one and have joy. I have told them Your words and the world hates them. I pray that they are not taken out of the world, but that You will keep them from the evil in the world.

They are not of the world even as I/ Jesus am not of the world.

Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth. As You have sent me into the world even so have I also sent them into the world.

Neither do I pray for these alone, but all those who will believe on me through their word. Us forming a relationship with God by studying the Bible. … that they may be one in Us, that the world may know that You sent Me.

The prayer has far more but this is how Jesus ends this talk to God.

‘ I have declared Your name to them, so that the love you have for me may be in them.’

The whole prayer called Jesus’ intercessary prayer is in John 17: 1-26

Growth is easy to see in the garden this morning. The Cardoon plant is looking particularly good with the garlic cloves I planted almost double in size.

May we grow in Christ as His love fills us with joy in Him.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
