Holes and Lines

Here is a prayer by Paul but first a summary. He wants love to be dynamic, intelligent and perceptive. This love should mature those who believe in God and glorify Him. You can read this prayer in Philippians 1: 9-11.

This post will look at holes and lines in nature with some quotes. The post will consist of six photographs.

Holes

‘First law of holes – when you are in one, stop digging.’

Denis Healey. 1917 – 2015. Chancellor of the Exchequer in Britain . I then listened to his last interview. I will attach it as a post script to the end of this post if it is of interest to you.

‘ The only way out of a hole is to climb out.’ Cheryl Strayed

Or

‘In trying to scramble out a hole, it sometimes digs it deeper.’ Wellington Mara.

‘ It doesn’t matter what it is that leaves a hole inside you. It just matters that it’s there.’ Jodi Picalt

Lines

‘ The main problem with writing verse is, if your fourth line doesn’t come out right, you’ve got to throw four lines away and figure out a whole new way to attack the problem. So the mortality rate is terrific.’ Dr Seuss

‘ Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. ‘ William Strunk, Jr

No rhyme but fact a poem!

Lines of rock fall.

Block by block or great big junks.

Gone to the sand forever.

The change in our beautiful world.

Sandy.

We are still in the Algarve.
