Christmas Eve 2025

Today I went to see the Storks in Silves. I heard their red beaks clatter as I did last Christmas but only caught a distant sighting of one taking a stick to its nest and another flying in to join the other.

No, I didn’t photograph the fine wing span and the long legs held straight and to the back. The stork so loved in this area representing protection, family, and new beginnings flew too fast for me. I only captured the clouds in a blue sky so characterful as they gather together for rain.

We hope to see the storks another time.

Thank you for looking at our posts as we travel and this evening, from the Algarve, we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a little quiet time to remember all the good things we still have in our world.

Sandy 🙂
