Ronda part 2

Religion

Jesus prays a long prayer in John 17 but here are a few verses the way I understand them. They are John 17:17-20.
Jesus talking to God: ‘ Sanctify/ Set them apart/ dedicate them to You through Your truth: Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world so I send them into the world. And for their benefit I sanctify/dedicate/set myself apart, through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also who will believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as You Father are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that You sent me.

To know the truth is to study the Bible because in it are found God’s truths that bring about a relationship with Him.

This post has three chosen views from Ronda and a painting.

Deep sides of pleated earth and rock with vegetation clinging well into the darkness of cold shadows where deep down is the sound and twist of white water,the Guadalevin River. The power of its waters helped calve the El Tajo gorge.

Outside the town and looking back rows of trees that haven’t experienced that many autumns stand. Their yellow leaves caught by the sun. The deep shade is cold , the colours gentle beyond the shade define the areas where paths announce change.

Aloevera holds an ancient scene. Far below a path to the smoke through ground ploughed with olive groves by its side. The mountains anchor the scene their constance to the change of seasons in their borders.

I too wanted to paint as so many others have. It is a place that inspires. A simple, complex, rocks, hills, mountains torn place. A ‘ you could fall over the edge’ place.
