Here is God speaking to Moses:
“The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving :
Iniquity: immoral or grossly unfair behaviour
Transgression: an act that goes against a law, rule or code of conduct, an offense
Sin: an act of disobedience to Divine law that separates a person from God.
BUT
By no means clearing the guilty.”
And Moses hurriedly bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. Exodus 34: 6,7
Where in the New Testament do we have these themes?
Peter speaking: ” Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. ” 1Peter 5:7
John speaking: ” If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
Paul speaking: “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, by grace we are saved.”
Ephesians 2: 4,5
The garden
Our dry summer weather has made for only a few spots of Botrytis blight on the roses. I see these three as representing yesterday and being enjoyed today and tomorrow. The seeds, I received from a friend yesterday, however, are the future. I will mix some sand, 5 parts sand to 1 part seeds, and scatter it here and there in the garden. Perhaps where the sunflowers are finishing their seed growing time. The seed needs light to germinate so it shouldn’t be buried but rather lightly pressed to have good contact with the soil. I hope all goes well.
Once I planted 40 white tulip bulbs and I didn’t see any of them, squirrels, weather and travel made for a bad experience. It may be better for these small seeds. We will see.
