Sabbath under two very different trees.

The shade of both trees at different times is what was needed.

Three nights was all we could spend under the Mulberry trees so afternoon came and we left for a place under a large conifer tree.

Under each, I read something different to think about.

The young Mulberry trees

Branches with sunlit leaves.

This is my understanding of what I read:

An angel is speaking with a loud voice: ‘ Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgement is come. Worship God who created Earth, sea and water.’

Revelations 14 : 7

And a third angel speaks with a loud voice: ‘ If any person worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark in his mind or his hand, that person will burn in the presence of the Holy angels and Jesus.’ Rev 14:10

The very sweet fruit.

‘ Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus‘ Revelations 14: 12

Now for a time sitting under  an enormous conifer tree.

The scripture I looked at was this:

The confir.

Jesus speaking about Himself:  ‘When the Son of Man, comes in His glory with all the angels, all the nations will be gathered before Him. And He will separate them one from another. Like a shepherd separating sheep from goats. The sheep on His right and the goats on His left. He will then speak to the sheep.

‘ Come and share the kingdom I prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’

Why?

‘ Because

I was hungry and you gave me food.

I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.

I was a stranger and you took me in.

I was naked and you gave me clothes.

I was in prison and you visited me.

Branches with green needles against mountains and sky.

The ‘ sheep’ say: ‘ When did we do this for You?’

Jesus says: ‘ You did it for those who many thought were unimportant and that is why it was for me.’

Jesus again speaking about Himself says: ‘ Then He will say to those on His left, You are cursed, burn in the fire prepared for the devil and his angels. ‘

Two trees under which I sat, two different places in scripture where I read, Matthew and Revelation.

I then listened to how my church was being warned of selfishness and service.

The person EG White lived in the 1800s’ but what she was saying about us is true.

It may not be true for your church but you are welcome to see what made me think about my life and church. Testimony to the Church: Ellen White on Selflessness and Service.

Another beautiful Sabbath in Italy.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
