A double centred rose

Commandment 3

God speaking: ‘ Do not use my name in a wicked, worthless, wrong way! You will be held guilty if you use it this way. Use it meaningfully with respect.’ ( Sandy’s wording of Exodus 20: 7)

Jesus speaking: ‘Every carelessly, thoughtlessly spoken word is going to be accounted for in the judgement. For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.’ ( Sandy’s wording of Matthew 12: 36)

A Double Centred Rose

I picked it!
I knew I could
A double centred rose,
where the petals formed a split.
An appearance of two.

I found a cup,
A travelled cup that once had an ear.
It held water well and the double of the flower too.
Together they looked the part.
A complement for what?

A story.
A place (town), a time (past present future) a person ( you or me).

So uniquely interesting
a double rose
held by an 'earless' damaged water filled
cup.

So I painted it.
It came out as a tipped, earless spotted cup
the handle no longer on the right,
with
a double centred red rose.

All by,

Sandy 🙂

An double rose.

Take  care,

Sandy 🙂
