A vase of 10 for Spring 2025

The Lord God is a sun and shield. The LORD will give grace and glory:  no good thing will He withhold from those who walk up rightly.

Oh, LORD of hosts, blessed is the person that trusts You.

Psalm 84 : 11

A top hat vase of 10 different garden plants.

I often use the top hat vase to celebrate garden flowers, and here are some we have today:

The poppy plant has six new buds as fat as the first I watched open. Here is the first poppy to bloom.

The lupin plant has three more stalks in bud, so here are the last small spear flowers of the first.

The Iris is the last of a group of three on one stalk.

Long stemmed buttercups and parsley lace come from the roadside. White and yellow with the fern fronds I brought in to watch  unfurl.

Two pink wild gladiolus from a forgotten planting of a group of many are also in the vase with three chive stems and the green flowers of euphorbia.

Oh, I nearly forgot the scabious in all stages, high above the others on thin stems and a stalk of geum with its orange flowers and buds to the left.

These late spring flowers are  goodbye from the garden.

‘ Every spring is the only spring a perpetual astonishment. ‘

Ellis Peters 1913-1955 English author.

‘ No winter lasts forever; no spring skips it’s turn.

Hal Borland 1900 – 1978 American writer and naturalist.

‘ Spring is the time of plans and late spring projects.’

Leonardo Tolstoy. 1828- 1910 Russisn Writer.

He also said: ‘The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.

And

An arrogant person considers themselves perfect. This is the chief harm of arrogance. It interferes with a person’s main task in life – becoming a better person.’

From the garden with joy.

This summer we will be travelling as we have done in the past. You are welcome to see what I capture of our beautiful Earth with comments to match how we feel. I may be a little erratic in my posting times.

Take care,

Sandyroybessbugzy 🙂❤️🥰🤗
