Paul speaking: ‘ Let the peace of God rule in your hearts as a group of people and be thankful. Let the word of Christ live in you richly in all wisdom by using God’s word to teach and advise…’
Colossians 3:15,16
‘The person who loves God rises above the fog of doubt. They get a bright, broad, deep living experience and become meek and Christlike… Every Christian will be strong, not in the strength and merit of their good works, but in the righteousness of Christ, which through faith is given.’

It is easy to agree with John Keats:
‘ The poetry of the earth is never dead.’
Our visit to Wisely was well timed with plenty of sunshine for the Wisteria. The plant is blooming at the moment and is at its best.

Here, the woody twine has been shaped with age to stand alone.
The racemes vary in size in different species from 2 to 2.8 in (5-7cm) in the smallest to 79 in (200 cm) in the largest.

The 75 m Wisteria walk has the purple flowered Kokuryo, and the silvery flowered Kimono growing on metal arches. Both look good this spring 2025 with plenty of sun for the last of April.
The plant belongs to the legume family, Fabaceae. The woody twining vines are interesting in the way they twine. W.sinensis twines counterclockwise and W. floribunda twines clockwise ( as viewed from above). They can climb 66ft (20m) above the ground and spread 33ft (10m).

My time to enjoy this lovely plant.
‘ If we believe that life is a sacred journey, then wonder is our road map to a good life.’
We have sunshine again. I have been posting early and spending most of my time outside. I will read more when it rains!
Take care,
Sandy 🙂
