A Sabbath walk near Frilsham

Jesus speaking: ” Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Don’t let your mind be troubled, nor let it be afraid.” John 14: 27

We walked mostly in different woodland areas: young Christmas trees planted in fine rows, large areas of trees still in green protection – wrap and then mixed mature trees. The paths were good with thick mud drying in prints , shaped by walkers and tractors. Let us look a while

Grass, but no obvious green shoots on the trees.
Not yet.
Teasels, weather worn by winter edge the dirt road…
Looking out towards the fields.
A tree’s shape is emphasised by moss.

It was time to talk and reflect.

A  walk.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂

A thought about grey , then two about mud:

‘Regrets are the natural property of grey hairs.’ Charles Dickens

‘ There is an Eagle in me that wants to soar, and there is a hippopotamus in me that wants to wallow in the mud.’ Carl Sandburg

‘ The world is mud – luscious and puddle – wonderful.’ e.e. cummings
