Vegetation and inspiration part 2

Jesus speaking: And I when I am lifted up, I will draw all people to myself. John 12:32

From Reuven Rubin, an AI given name of a famous artist, I sketched a vase Reuven Rubin had painted. Put some leaves in a jug,  noticed how different the back of each leaf was to the front, painted what I saw, and then decided  I wanted to see what was at the National Gallery online.

Well, I found a free on- line live sketching event with Robin- Lee Hall, Fiona Alderton, and Joseph Kendra. One needs to register, and a time is given, and there they are at the gallery. They were helping us look at a Sandro Botticelli portrait. We sketched in real time, 40 minutes, under the direct guidance of the professional.  It was great to concentrate with someone else. I loved it. You might, too. Roy set it up for me, but I am sure if you liked the idea, you could do it too.

My sketch…
…the leaves from the garden.
The back and front of a leaf…
My acrylic experience of what I saw from the garden.

Sketching with guidance:

What is great?
I learnt a lot and have much more to learn.
Time well spent.

I think the domino effect is the way I see this for myself.

Here are a few thoughts:

‘ Hope can be imagined as a domino effect, a chain reaction, each increment making the next increase more feasible…’

Jerome Groopman

‘Sometimes, all it takes is your smile (even if forced), and a domino effect smile happens… infectious.’

Ace Antonio Hall

Have an enjoyable weekend,

Sandy 🙂
