Cow pond was dug in the 1700s it lies a short distance from the Savill Garden Visitors Centre. It is a walk we enjoyed with friends when our children were young. Today, we are alone with Bess.
No wind or rain today, a stillness that reflects from the depth of thousands of water lily roots waiting to cover the pond with their green circles split.
The brown dots are remains from last year 2024,
2025’s growth will bring pink water lilies in large numbers.
wet but firm
sunlit but shadowed.
A winter day waiting for spring and warmth.
A beautiful sky with peaceful, happy memories.

Ah, it brought back many memories of our boys playing in the old rhododendron tree/ shrubs. These are now carefully renewed as a long hedge. I believe there is a tummy bug going around but so far we are well and hope you are too.
Thank you we are well, I am having to quarantine against the colds and flus as the health care wants me to be extra careful about guarding my lungs as I just don’t seem to be able to kick the coughing. It’s a bit frustrating but I live in hope.
Hope is there as we are going into spring, not autumn. Warmth will come! Continue to take care.🤗
