The Portimao area has beaches worth exploring, and we did seven in sequence when the tide was out. Always check the low tide and high tide times and don’t get tired or tied to a whim. Be alert. Here are the seven beaches we walked on at low tide and then returned above them on a cliff road for the way back:
Praia do Alemão, Praia do Vau, Praia dos Careanos, Praia do Amavo, Praia dos Tres Castelos, Praia da Rocha.
For this post, I include a definite start and end photograph, leaving five photographs in the middle that made me feel pleased I was there and also show the change in weather which was from warm and golden to a cold wind and rain and then repeat.
It took at most from 10:05 until 14:24 for this beauty to “evolve”. Perhaps the birds became creative or the waves worked together with their tide drawings.
How is this remarkable artwork done? I looked for Earth Scape Artists here in Portugal but didn’t see any mention of them. I found instead Andre’s Amador, an American who explains this art form in a helpful manner. It is spectacular and with drones even more appreciated. Google his name to understand Earth Scape Art.

I missed some of your recent posts (new laptop had to go to Best Buy to get files changed over), but the beach art is really fascinating – and loved your art work, too. My days of travelling are over, but enjoy your travels so much!
