Sabbath, sea, and clouds

Taken at 15:58

The sea and sky are in competition for our attention. They were both grand. The sun probably won because look at that white shimmer from behind the clouds right to the yellow brown of the sand.

I was reading something interesting . It is God speaking.  He is asking questions. Here are a few:

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the world?

Who decided its measurements, if you know?

Where are the foundations fastened onto?

Or

Who shut up the sea with doors when it broke out , as if it had come from a woman’s womb when giving birth?

When I made the clouds as a garment for the sea…

And

Thick darkness as a blanket to hold  it. / thick darkness , a swaddling band.

And

Said to the sea: ‘ Up to here you will come, but no further and here your proud waters will stay.’

There are lots more questions with no answers.  He may prefer us to speak, or does He?

Finally, there is this from God:

‘ Will the one who competes with the Almighty God teach Him? The one who tells God off, let that person answer.’

These words are from Job 38: 4-11 and Job 40 : 2. Those two chapters are a great read. Job was most likely written by Moses. This is a great book to read if you feel life is unfair.

I will show you a photograph I took straight after the first one. Same Sabbath same place.

At 16:04pm.

Ah, Sabbath.

Jesus speaking: ” But pray that you will not have to run away in the winter or on the Sabbath day. For there will be trouble such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no , nor ever will be. And except these days are shortened no one will be saved but these days will be shortened …” Matthew 24 : 19-22

This post travelled and then stopped heavily. Sorry, read Matthew 24 with a prayer and remember God will do nothing unless He shows us.

Sandy 🙂
