A frog sat on a stone
'I'm not complaining ' said stone
' but I'm in your shadow.'
'Stone,' said frog
'You are the shadow, my dear shadow,
My stay and sit shadow.'
'Really!' exclaimed stone seeing their reflection in the pond.
'I request that I be your side by side reflection holding all that passes by.'
Shocked that stone should have a preference frog hopped along rapidly.

A little about the pond:
We have replaced the pond lily of thirteen years with a miniature variety. Its leaves grew to the surface rapidly with the warmth we have had. We hope it manages winter and is revived by spring.
