A river

The Test.

Shallow then deep with fish, sun slithering yellow through the grass.

Then, a path, a church path littered with bright coloured paper purposefully shaped

Determinedly entering the church and thick up the aisle.

Church windows bright a photograph of our late Queen.

The poem uses personification, repetition, and juxtaposition, all these to reveal our foe time as it has ‘control’ of life and death.

Five thoughts about Joseph’s life emphasising

And the Lord was with Joseph

But the Lord was with Joseph

Because the Lord was with Joseph. (Genesis 39:2,21,23)

How was this evident?

We have the whole story from long ago, so here are five thoughts:

He was undestroyable.

He was a blessing wherever he was.

He was patient.

He made wise decisions under severe circumstances.

He forgives and deals with his wounds.

The Lord is with him. Joseph functions with and not against His God.

This is told by Moses in Genesis 39-50.
