Red, pink, orange, and yellow

Jesus speaking after telling a story: ( it is a bothersome story for us as it was for them of His day) “But many that are first shall be last; and the last first. ” Matthew 20: 1-16 is the story.

Our garden is  like a patient coming round from major surgery. I thought it needed some encouragement so gave it and us a bowl of brightness.

I took the words bright and beautiful and looked for some quotes with this word.

Two with bright and one with beautiful.

No, I haven’t read all the books and met all the people I quote from.🙂

George Bernard Shaw said something to think about:

” Better keep yourself clean and bright: you are the window through which you must see the world.”

And then this cheeky one from Alan Dundes:

” Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.”

Now for beautiful:

” The most beautiful thing in the world is of course the world itself.” Said by Wallace Stevens.

I agree!

Have a beautiful, bright day.

Sandy 🙂
