A 4.5 -mile Sabbath walk of paths near Hughenden.

Religion

However courageous and successful, a person may be in the performance of a special work, unless they look constantly to God when circumstances arise to test their faith they will lose their courage. Even after God has given them marked tokens of His power, after they have been strengthened to do God’s work, they will fail unless they trust implicitly in Omnipotence ( God).  EG White

The ancient experience of this involved God and Elijah with Elijah so depressed that God came to help him not in the earthquake they experienced nor the fire that followed but in God’s own still voice. 1 Kings 18 has the whole event.

Our walk today.

It is good to know the paths that best join and lead for an interesting walk through woods and with views, but today we, Roy and I, having done this walk several times, got lost. The large group was good-natured and happy to have the woods for cover. It was the kind of walk ” …is it left or right?…” I think we followed the shade and came out at Disraeli’s memorial when evening shadows were longer and the coolness was pleasant.

Here are some quotes about lost with five pictures to remember our walk.

“He who learns but doesn’t think, is lost! He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger.”
Confucius
“All our words from loose using have lost their edge. “
Ernest Hemingway.

It was a sun filled day to remember on days when it “will” rain! Look at how green the grass is and how much water is in the river. In past years, this was dry.

We are so glad for the time spent and shared with you.

Take care,

Sandy 🙂
