Religion
No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared Him.
John 1:18
What speech is to thought, so is Christ to the invisible Father… Jesus was the embodiment of the law of God, which is the transcript of His character.

Travel
We continued to travel and visited the former capital and Queen city of the Hanseatic League, Lübeck.
The Hanseatic League was founded in the 12th century and prospered until the 16th century as the major trading centre for Northern Europe. An interesting museum, the Hansmuseum was set up in 2015 commemorating these times, and I was interested to see that in 1980, there was the founding of the modern city associations. Currently, 192 cities cooperate on culture, tourism, and sustainability. These cities are listed under their countries on Google. Leaving this museum here are five photographs. My essence of an enormous city of interest.
The land of the Old Town is surrounded by water on all sides and partly by embankment and park areas. It is with this in mind that three of the photographs have the river Trave in them. Rivers and the sea playing a major role in trade.

On the left is a hedge we travellers are parked parallel to.
A short walk to the old centre.
Free at night and £6 a day.

There were three lines of washing. The Trave River green in its tree and house edged summer look.
I couldn’t resist the blue jean framing of these two people.

The Hansmuseum is situated here.
To end a story about a church and the devil.

Press on it to make it larger.
Here are two church quotes.
For where God built a church, there the Devil would build a chapel.
Martin Luther
The church is not an automobile showroom – a place to put ourselves on display so that others can admire our spirituality, capacity, or prosperity. It is more like a service centre, where vehicles in need of repair come for maintenance and rehabilitation.
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
This city defeated me in its “richness.” I hope you Google it or visit it.
Thank you for looking at this post from Germany.
Sandy 🙂
That story about the devil…🤣or 😖. Or both. Not sure. lol. Such good quotes.
Enjoyed the post.
Thank you! A unexpected story. In the museum we read that merchants stored their goods in the church because it was brick and wouldn’t burn down. The wine was hidden at the alter.
