Travel to Corby

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 46 :1

From moon set to rise, we travelled today.

Roy encouraged me to spend time at ‘work ‘ with him. As a service driver, he drives cars from A to B. This was our drive today. We started in Meyse Hampton.

Meysey Hampton
Today your parents took their children's hands
I watched with eyes that filled my mind with memories
Your quiet roads had quiet greetings as children walked through them to the village school

There a teacher stood
" Are you feeling better?"
A quiet "yes" from a pale figure.
A smile for me with no child. "Which way to the village shop?"
" No shop but the pub is on the left."

Yes, I used to walk little folk to school.
Those were the days
Sandy🙂

I’ll hold your hand for a little while but I’ll hold you in my heart for a life time.

Meysey Hampton to Kemble in our car with me driving and Roy driving the electric car.

Then Kemble to Corby, an autumnal drive in the VW ID3. No gears, so quiet and plenty of power.

Delivering the car in Corby, we travelled to Saint Pancreas, Paddington, and then back to Kemble again all by train.

Sandy and Roy travelling today.

  1. Take your wife to work day! 🙂 Good to get out and about, see some sights. My son has an electric car, I feel like I am on a quiet monorail ride! 😂 Me, I love to hear my sports car power and gears!! 🤪
