Those furry leaves are very interesting. I’ve never seen them before, nor have I ever seen those red chicken feet flowers. Your paintings are lovely, Sandy.
Thank you. That furry leaf plant has a story. We were in Italy, and there was no real park up in a ‘caravan park ‘ where people had semi-permanent static holiday vans. One lady had spread her space by making a garden. She invited us to park in it. I took a cutting from this hairy plant, felt bad, and told her. She proceeded to give me two other plant cuttings, and both are growing well. This is a cutting from a plant well established by her cutting.
What a wonderful story, Sandy – and a perfect reminder of a lovely trip.

Yes, she was a generous Italian lady who lived in Athens but loved her garden by her caravan . This may be of interest Stonehaven with my post of that nane posted from in Scotland has a red warning for flooding tonight. Really sorry for this beautiful coastal fishing town.
