For yours our God is the kingdom the power and the glory for ever and ever…and His divine power has given us knowledge of Him that calls us to glory and goodness. God provides us with precious promises which are there to help us in faith, temperance, patience, kindness … And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6: 13 the last part of the Lord’s prayer, 2Peter 1: 3-11 Sandy’s summary and a promise from Philippians 4:19.
Left for four months in a bottle with water, two mint stalks from a post Alkanet mint and a sunflower.

A pleasant movement through time with past, present and future to see.
I guess I need to put them all in some soil.
Mint has such a ‘growth mind set’. Put this with the thistle which is associated with the national motto of Scotland :”Nemo me impone lacessit” (nobody attacks me with impunity in reference to its spines) and the Bay leaves a symbol of victory and wisdom then this small arrangement suddenly seems very powerful.

It is the fallen stalks from these plants that new plants are growing from,
in the bottle.
Here they are with bay leaves , thistle, lavender and marjoram.
This may be so but in amongst this there is also lavender with its calming smell and marjoram that enhances food. A little balancing of all this power.

Here’s mint used with a different meaning:
The world is not so much in need of new thoughts as that when thought grows old and worn with usage it should like current coin, be called in, and, from the mint of genius, reissued fresh and knew.
Alexander Smith 1829 – 1867 He died aged 37 from diphtheria and typhoid fever.
And a thought about growth:
You try something, it doesn’t work and maybe people even criticise you. In a fixed mindset, you say, ‘ I tried this, it’s over.’ In a growth mindset, you look for what you have learned.

Thank you for thinking with me. I spent an enjoyable time going through so much more than I have shared. Take care.
