But without faith it is impossible to please Him:
for He that cometh to God
must believe that He is ,
and that he is a rewarder of those
who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11 : 6

The life of an indoor sunflower.
It grew from its seed a thinner stem a leaf here and then there
A face answered the sun that dried the soil
A sheltered type of sun
A sun spot puddle
Water was erratic
But it had its yellow petals
Smaller with a circle centre
Much smaller
An unexpected bloom from an unexpected seed planting
The sunflower from indoors.
Sandy 🙂 (This happened while we were travelling and here it is for you.)

The mint has fallen over quite a lot in the garden and taken root, so the two mint stalks are from my clearing up. Alkanet has taken over the Irises. I am not sure whether to take up the Irises and start again or patiently remove the alkanet with tiny blue flowers so much like forget me nots.
I was looking at some pictures of paintings by Fantin Latour. He was French but his paintings of still life with flowers in vases were appreciated in England where he also learned engraving. He said that he was taught to use simple vases and table tops to exhibit … the texture and colour of what he was painting. He also had an interesting thing to say about being an artist.
The gifted man should walk alone straight to his goal, what happens is nothing, rejections, success, selling, pleasing, all that is nonsense.
Success can be harmful, it makes you relax, you sit on it and are distracted.
Henri Fantin Latour 1805-1875 ( French painter and Lithographer . Painter of flowers and group portraits of Parisian artists and writers. His father was a painter and gave him his first lessons. )
Press on Henri Fantin Latour to see some of his still life paintings. It is slow and the music a bit down but the flowers are special.
Thank you for seeing my post.
Sandy 🙂
